3. Add sample proposal at the end of the NEC document for references purposes.

4. 1. Persons unfamiliar with proposal procedures and that do not have a previous ROP or ROC documents or do not have access to an electronic version could benefit from a sample to reference when forming and submitting a proposal. Not all persons have access to the NFPA 70 Style Manual. 2. Other NFPA documents provide this sample such as the NFPA 70E and NFPA 780.

This is a great suggestion but not one that a panel will act upon. I suspect the NFPA will do just that after you submit the proposal. If memory serves me correctly, an example was provided with the proposal form in the older Code books (around 1975). :D

2 more ideas...

1. Have an optional edition of the NEC that is both moisture and tear resistant.

2. List the phone numbers and home addresses of all the CMP members. ;)

I've looked on the NFPA site for proposal info and/or forms and basically gave up because I lost interest before I had any success. I'm sort of like that, but I don't think I'm alone.

And I like the second idea too. :D
