Heard rumor recently that sub panels aren't going to be allowed in laundry room anymore. That can't be true, is it? Anyone hear anything about this??

Don't laundry rooms contain the same "easily ignitable materials" that clothes closets contain?

Yes and so do garages, shed etc. I know that there are some cmp members who have stated that a panel can be in a clothes closet as long as it is not near combustibles. For instance behind the door of a closet Wait, isn't a door combustible....:D I am kidding I know a door is not easily combustible

Sorta, kinda, maybe.

Closets get jam packed full- clothes, boxes, what not- while laundry areas tend to be more open.

Now someone will remark about W/Ds in closets, like stacking ones.:D

Yeah, but in those closets, you wouldn't have the clearances, Clarence.
