Yes and so do garages, shed etc. I know that there are some cmp members who have stated that a panel can be in a clothes closet as long as it is not near combustibles. For instance behind the door of a closet Wait, isn't a door combustible....

Closets get jam packed full- clothes, boxes, what not- while laundry areas tend to be more open.
