Can someone give me a direction in the code that would cover the placement of a sauna heater disconnect. The sauna manufacture is showing the sauna being fed from two 40 amp 2 pole breakers. These breakers are shown being fed from the sub panel. Our local inspector is asking us to put a disconnect means in sight of the sauna. This limits the placement to the wall outside the sauna. My questions is does the sauna heater require a local disconect and any ideas on the placement of 40 amp breaker enclosure.
