The word ?sauna? does not appear in the 2002 NEC. There are rules related to ?spas and hot tubs.? But these terms are defined in such a way as to exclude saunas within their definition (i.e., ?designed for immersion of users?). I suspect that all requirements related to ?wet locations? would apply to saunas, but that?s as far as my thinking takes me.
