Help me out, How does one save a post that is especially helpful ? There have been times in the

past when I should have done this & now kick myself. I am computer novice & still have a

rotary dial telephone.

Can somebody add a scarasm icon ?

There's no direct way to save just one post (unless it is the only post to the thread).

You can save a whole "page" doing File>Save as... When I use this method, I usually "Save as type: Web Archive, single page (*.mht)".

You can also use the Thread Tools at the top of the page to 1)Show Printable Version, 2) Email this Page..., and 3) Subscribe to this Thread. AIR, your profile page, or one linked from there, lists the threads you subscribe to.

I generally copy and paste the helpful comments (and there are tons) to a word document. That way I can keep exactly what I want and need. My word docs are in a folder marked MHoltForum.

A sarcasm font would be great. There are some that suggest a left tilt italics for sarcastic remarks, but you have to download the font, and I'm not sure this forum board will support them. (George?)

if using IE click on "Favorites" up in the tool bar, then select "Add To Favorites" when the next window pops up click on "New Folder" Button Type in a the name you want for this folder such as "Helpful Post on Mike Holt's Forum" then create and save, then after that just save them to that favorite folder, then all you have to do is anytime you want to go back to it just open up favorites and click on it. other browsers will have something similar.

I still like to copy content to my own text document. Links or favorites can eventually have the content being moved or changed or even if the post contained a image linked from photobucket or something like that - if the image gets removed from the users account it is no longer in the post it had been linked to and then you have lost what you attempted to save.
