This question was on my exam today and I never found the answer to it.

What is the maximum length of flexible metallic cable (greenfield) when wired to the primary of a transformer?
a) 25 feet
b) 50 feet
c) 75 feet
d) 100 feet

I don't remember if it gave any particular type of transformer, I had so many transformer questions, but I couldn't find anything remotely addressing this? I don't even remember what I finally choose for my answer. Anyone?

Here's another. What percentage does the primary power supply have to drop before the secondary power supply takes over?
a) 5%
b) 10%
c) 20%
d) 25%

I am pretty sure I guessed 25%, but I couldn't find anything that addresses this in the code or the other books I had. I've even installed several generators lately, but just never gave much thought to this. Anyone?
