Hi,

Not sure if this is the right forum to ask this, but may be someone knows.

I am looking for some kind of equipment/technology that can scan trough metal to see if there are any "people" behind the metal.
The scan should be quick and not dangerous for people like x-rays.

Any suggestions ?

Regards
Andreas

An electrical forum is not really the place for this question but we have a lot of smart guys here. Perhaps someone knows about it

Seeing people behind metal is boring. But, seeing metal behind people? Now you're on to something.

Anything that could scan through metal for an image would likely be extremely hazardous to humans. CT scanning (Computerized Tomography) using X-Rays is used to detect manufacturing defects IN metal objects, but the level of X-Ray energy it takes would boil the blood of someone standing behind it.

What's the application? What kind of metal is it, and how thick? Is it just necessary to know if the space is occupied, or is a greater level of detail required, such as counting them or getting a look at their faces to identify them?

An occupancy detector in the room might work.

When I worked for the ███ we had a technology called ██████████████ that would ██████████████ ...%*#

NO CARRIER

sonogram technology would work for thin metal.

Some IR (FLIR) would work also if person not to far away from the metal and dependent on the metal finishes.
