sch 40 or sch 80?

Question running a 2" raceway to a panel in the basement its about 20' long and about 18" above the floor it can be sch 40 pvc it does not have to be sch 80 right? or am I wrong?

IMO for this application SCH 40 is fine.

Sounds like a "Physical Damage" question. Not our call. I'm still waiting for the the NEC definition.

I would run 40 and never worry about it.

The only time I have ever used schedule 80 is where the conduit comes up out of the ground. Most inspectors here don't require it unless it is in a high traffic area.

I install schedule 40 all the time in basements and in crawl spaces. Never had an issue about it.
