We are here in the Los Angeles area and we have nevere used or even seen Sch40 PVC used as a subfeed though attic spaces and betwen floors.
Years ago ENT was deemed as not acceptable in some installations, and we never dreamed of using Sch40. The combustion issues and resulting toxins were sited.
Now we have seen some installed in a 30,000 sqft house used for 200 amp subfeeds. Are there any UBC or or NEC issues I have not sen ?

The use of nonmetallic wiring methods is restricted in some occupancy types and in certain areas (plenums for example). In general and in dwellings, the use of RNC is not prohibited.

Bryan use of RNC in a SFD would have to be an individual jurisdiction issue wouldn`t it ????In a SFD the use of RNC is non restricted,But why use pipe when SER does the same thing.

Most of the PVC type wiring methods Ridged or flxible are temperature restricted I believe 50 degree C the OP mentioned attic spaces that could be an additionl restriction!!
