In Table 4 of the 2008 NEC, there are two Tables for Rigid PVC Conduit. The first Table for Article 352 is for Rigid PVC Conduit (PVC) and the second table for Article 352 is for Type A, Rigid PVC Conduit (PVC). The areas for the Type A conduit in the second Table are slightly larger than the areas listed in the first Table. I did not see any reference to "Type A" in article 352. What is "Type A conduit" and how does one identify it?
