Hi everyone,
how do you best manage your schedules when a GC gives you a deadline/agrees to a certain block in your schedule and then isnt ready when they say they will be? they want to tell us “you need to be here by ___,” we build our schedule, they are not ready by then, and then want us there the following week or the week after or basically on standby even though we have others on schedule for weeks-months thereafter?

"GC" schedule an oxymoron in most residential I've worked on

I always said that it's really the sheetrocker that determines when job will be ready to trim, but can't ask him because he'll lie
He'll lie to your face lol. On site I've been told it's ready and I have to point out that they haven't taped and textured yet and then they say oh ya that's another guys job and I say yes so you're not ready then make an angry call to the GC
