Are there any special rules and regulations for wiring recep's
and lighting in elementary schools.
And is "mc" cable suitable to the job.
Thanks

Paul, welcome to the zoo!

Some localities specify certain things in their government jobs, such as 3/4" or larger EMT only, an insulated EGC in every conduit, etc.

The local building department should be able to help you find the specifications to follow. Your school contact should be able to help you.

Good point Larry as far as gov jobs. Here in the District...DCPS (District of Columbia Public Schools) we are now using MCap at any length. Used to be EMT and 6' max length for MC. Thank G** they changed that one for the EC's Labor $$$$ savings.
