I believe that sections of the school may fall under 518--ie, cafeteria, auditorium and or gym.

That is my opinion as well. And maybe some large lectrure rooms depending on the size of the room and/or school.

I agree with Dennis.

Also, you might want to check with your AHJ some states and areas have special requirements for schools. In Utah schools fall under the jurisdiction of the state and not the local jurisdictions.

I agree 518 is not for schools but as Dennis stated there may very well be places of assembly in a school.


Also I am not aware of a special article for schools in this area some are wired with type NM. it depends on the building code and the type of structure.
