How would one go about installing a sconce on siding (sconce calls for 4" hex box) for a commercial application? The specs call for MC cable (no romex) throughout. The siding is bassically the same as a house. The only siding blocks I can find are rated for romex cable.

Thanks

I like Arlington siding boxes. I don't see where it says that they are limited to NM (romex). They do have a KO that accepts an MC connector. IMO, the code concerning metal raceways in plastic boxes has to do with bonding. There is an exception that if there is a bonding means in the box you may use the metal raceway with the plastic box.
Since the jacket on MC cable is not allowed for grounding/bonding I think you would be fine as long as there was a hub or KO that would take the MC connector. Whether it be Arlington or other brand.
