I have commercial building with multiple tenants shown attachment floor plan. The attachment shows power riser as well. I have feeder breaker 100A fed from House panel in landlord space to vacant space in temporary vacant space. The feeder used is 4#1 &(1)#8 SE cable. No conduit size provided.

The SE cable is going to be routed from House panel to Panel V interior building. According to NEC 2014 Section 338.10(B)(4)(a) points to SE cable to be installed per part II Article 334. When I look at part II section 334.10 says uses permitted. However the construction type of this building is type IIA. So based on NEC 2014 section 334.12(A)(1) one cannot use SE cable in this space as 334.10 does not mention type IIB to allow install.

I just want to verify my finding as I am not sure SE cable can be used or not used under my situation. Would the above be correct or incorrect regarding using SE cable or not use SE cable-inside this building?

It'll probably be SER instead of SE, but there is no prohibition against running feeders through other spaces.

I have commercial Building construction type IIB. NEC 2014 section 338.10(B)(4)(a) Feeder Interior SE cable should be installed per Part II of Article 334.

Part II 334.12(A) or 334.10 does Not mention construction type IIB to allow SE cable.

I don’t understand how can generally their is no prohibition for SE cable or SER same as SE under my situation?

Wait NEC 2014 Section 334.10(5) permits mentions Type I and II construction as long as they are installed within permitted raceway to be installed in Type I and II construction. What are those raceway types?

Construction type may change things. I merely meant there is no overall rule against a feeder to one tenant space passing through another.
