I'm running SE cable from the panel to a 1G plastic box with knock outs. According to 314.17, I need to secure the cable within 8" of the box. Since my cable is 2-2-2-4 SE cable, I also have to go by 300.4(G)--which is for insulated fittings. If I staple/strap the wire within 8" of the 1 gang box and go through a male adapter with a locknut and plastic bushing--Is this acceptable? How about using a box connector with a coupling instead?
