Can I run Se cable expose in Colorado or does it need to be in conduit. It will be in back of house and not expose to damage

I can’t speak to any codes respective to CO but here in NJ you can have the point of attachment at the front of the house and wrap the SE cable across the side and around the back if that’s what the job called for.

There is a nec code that allows what you want to do however the state may have an amendment that disallows it. Also, the inspector can be picky about protection for the cable.

My guess if it hasn't been seen there for a while then it will probably get tagged.

There will only be 2’ expose. When I will be taking it in the crawl space.
The NEC permits the use of Type SE-U as you describe. Clearly the limitations of its exposure have to be considered, such as temperatures which the manufacturer can assist with.

Now, based on your crawl space statement I would guess you have a disconnect outside [230.70(A)(1)] and are actually running Type SE-R inside the dwelling but again I could be wrong or misread the intent. FYI-The PVC sheathing is cable of being installed in -10C so......

Maybe a simple call to the local AHJ could save you time and possibly money.

Here in New England we don't have "SE cable phobia" that so many places do. EC's literally do wrap it around buildings.

SE cable

I have been calling the inspector and will continue to do so. I installed a 200 amp meter/disconnect outside, I installed two 100 panels, one upstairs and one downstairs. I installed 2-2-2 w ground SE cable because I want to go into crawl space and staple to bottom of joists in crawl. I have already done this . I put SE in 2’ conduit outside and LB and short nipple into crawl. Now I need to run to upstairs panel. I have already ran cable in crawl and up to panel upstairs. Now this where my question is is it alright to come out of crawl and run my 2’ into my meter/disconnect. We are waiting on the power company to install a underground fed to meter/disconnect, they told us it will be 6 months.

Your explanation has me more confused. First, you said you already ran the cable in an LB and conduit so why not do the same with the upstairs cable. What am I missing?

Do you already have one 2" conduit coming out of the meter/main into the crawl via an LB?

Yeah I am kinda with Dennis on this one....I got lost somewhere in between the lines.

As the "Old Man" mentioned, it seems you have already done this once and felt good about it and simply want to do it again. I won't dig up bones but you did say Type SE with 2 AWG, which I will assume CU since AL, which is the predominant (Sales) use of Type SE-R Cable, which would only be acceptable at 90 Amps but I am sure you accounted for that in your design.

Ala 240.4 and 240.6(A)....just sayin.

Yes I did use a LB and conduit for the downstairs panel but would I would like to use sealite this because of the flexibility it will give me. I have go to around the 2” conduit and the conduit for the underground feed the power company wii be putting in. If I use conduit I don’t think it would look good. I would have to have LB ,short piece of conduit, Another LB , another short piece up into disconnect.
