from an earlier thread (now closed) you posted:
If this circuit is SE cable 338.10(B)(4)(a) requires us to use parts I and II of 334 which includes 334.80s 60 C requirement.
I believe it actally says:
(4) Installation Methods for Branch Circuits and Feeders
(a) Interior Installations. In addition to the provisions of this article, Type SE service-entrance cable used for interior wiring shall comply with the installation requirements of Parts I and II of Article 334, excluding 334.80 .
Does this not mean the 75o rating would be acceptable?

Re: SE Rating?

My '99 NEC (in use here) has no 334.80 or 338.10.

Where in the '99 are the equivalents?

1999 336-26 seems to have become more or less 2002, 2005 334.80

1999 338-4(a) has become 338.10(B)(4)(a)

Under the 1999 NEC SE used as interior branch circuit wiring would be limited to 60 C ratings.

338.10 (B)(4)(a) was a bit of a change in 2002 and is the same in 2005, before the change it was 338(4)(a)in 1999. 334.80 in 2002 and 2005 refers to the ampacity of Nonmetallac sheathed cable and the reference in 1999 is 336-26 Ampacity. :)iwre beat me to it, as usual. ;)

Re: SE Rating?

So this is why #2al SE cable used as a sub-panel feeder must be protected at 90a instead of 100a?
