Spec says install sealing fittings on all conduits per NEC code? Which code section can I find them? Thanks.

Don't you just love it when the guys writing up the spec's, who should know, don't, and use this as an out ? :)

I am going guess that the post is on using sealing washers in a wet location?

Am I close?

Somewhere there a code section about raceways entering cabinets above live parts in wet locations. Too lazy to search at the moment.

I'd guess this post is for an actual sealoff used for a hazardous location, fueling station, or in a freezer application where there is a need for them for temperature difference if I were guessing.

Was just in the raceway installation portion of the spec. Nothing about hazardous or wet locations.

Unless you have a hazardous location forget about the sealing fittings. Sounds like typical boiler plate crap.

Right so are these for hazardous areas only? Had someone tell me they are installed by foundation walls to stop moisture. Not sure how correct he was.

They can be used in other areas for moisture and other, jap noted this above, not real typical IME for basic commercial refrigeration.

Never saw one for moisture in a basic foundation wall, though I never worked in your area.

Haz locations and fueling applications are where I see and have installed them.
