Seal off for temperature switch

We are installing temperature switches at the discharge side of pumps in our JP-4 Test Area ( Jet Fuel ). Switches are sealed and rated for Class 1 div 2 . We will mount a hazardous location " C " on the switch and make our terminations there . I say because these are not a arcing device such as a light switch and are sealed we do not need sealoff until the conduit leaves the class 1 div 2 area. The area supervisor thinks seals are required at each switch . Any opinions are appreciated ....

Exception to 501.15(A)(1)(1): Seals shall not be required
for conduit entering an enclosure where such switches, circuit
breakers, fuses, relays, or resistors comply with one of
the following:

(1) Are enclosed within a chamber hermetically sealed
against the entrance of gases or vapors

(2) Are immersed in oil in accordance with
501.115(B)(1)(2)

(3) Are enclosed within a factory-sealed explosionproof
chamber located within the enclosure, identified for the
location, and marked ?factory sealed? or equivalent,
unless the enclosure entry is metric designator 53
(trade size 2) or larger

(4) Are in nonincendive circuits
