It can be used in Class 1 Div 2 under some conditions, but it cannot be used in Class 1 Div 1. If you're talking about any fuel dispensing station like bulk tanks on a farm or something at least a small area around the tanks will be Class 1 Div 1. Sorry I don't have code references, I'm at home and my NEC is at work.
