i have two submersible water wells, that have had the round solid jacketed cable replace with a flat, 4 conductor, 4 AWG cable, with a PVC jacket.
These are both flowing artesian wells, with about 5 psi at the well head.
At the top of the well head there is an female coupling and then 2" liguid tite conduit
I need some suggestions on how to seal off the water at the well head with a flat cable.
Does anyone make a 2" CBG type connector for flat cable?
Or some way to pour a seal under the well head?

Tom,
I have seen CGBs for flat cables, but I don't know who makes them.

Re: Sealing Flat Submersible Well Cable

I have used a few differant methods but for water fountans I use a PVC box and fill it with a re-enterable incapsulant made by 3m, For wet sumerged locations 3m makes a kit that can be shaped to fit any type of wire or place like down a well caseing.

Here is one page of one of the products, good but very costly:
3M? Scotchcast? 2112 Reenterable Electrical Insulating Resin

And go here for splice kits:
3M- Low Voltage Splicing (0-1000V)

The cat number of the resin I use which is a little cheeper and comes in larger size bages it 8882.
Which can be seen here:
8882-750/F 824ML High Gel Foil Unipak Reenterable Encap

I hope this is what your looking for?
