Is there a code approved way to seal the entrance of PVC into an enclosure? I understand that meyers adapters and sealing locknuts are not acceptable.

a myers hub is an approved entrance fitting.

anything listed as suitable to connect to a myers hub is approved.

from a workmanship standpoint, a myers hub, close nipple, and FA fitting
is preferable than a MA fitting. MA fittings are susceptible to shearing
with a side hit, and i personally won't use them at all.

but they are listed as approved.

Per the UL listing meyers hubs are only for RMC and IMC conduit, not sure about sealing locknuts.
Carlon makes a rubber ring to go between the PVC MA and enclosure, its kind of cheesy. Most use meyers hubs and inspectors don't catch it.

Sealing locknuts are not approved for use with threaded metal. Is the Carlon rubber ring and approved method for sealing PVC metal adapters to boxes??

Completely listing compliant if one terminates the PVC with an FA, threaded onto a RMC/IMC close nipple which is in turn threaded into the Myers hub.

Your post is confusing. In opener you mention PVC. Now you say sealing locknut not approved for metal threads.

They also make a sealing washer...

it never even occurred to me that a pvc MA isn't listed for a
myers hub, as was brought up above....

but then again, i don' think i've used a MA in 30
years, so my knowledge is dated.

In general, no connector with male threads has been evaluated for use with anything other than a locknut.
