Is there a way to search by your own name to find posts that you have responded to?

Sometimes I post a bunch at one time and then can't remember which ones, and would like to go back and see the out come.

Click on your member name at the top left of your post, from the drop down list choose "Find all Posts by cowboyjwc"

You will get a list of all you posts, most recent at the top.

You can also look at the list of threads and you'll see a little check mark next to those you have replied to.

I turned off the automatic thread subscription (the checkmark) myself, as I never used it. Now, I look for the
thread_dot_hot_new.gif
icon next to the titles of the threads.

An arrow in it means I've posted there. :)

thanks George!!

I thought the checkmark indicates threads with new posts since your last visit, whether you've posted in that thread or not.

One other way, is to go to the bars above, mouse over "Search V" and then click "Advanced Search."

Advanced search is nice. You start picking someone's monikor, such as your own, and it auto-completes; good if you vaguely remember who it was wrote something.

Or, the keyword lets you type in a word or phrase, it'll get you right to the post you're looking for.

Sometimes I'll spend time researching something and just want to re-visit a topic later that day or after visiting a site. In which case, I'm not on that topic's list but the topic will show up in my internet explorer history.
