SEC routing

When an SEC is routed though a roof skirt, is it sufficient to provide a sleeve (PVC) though the roof shirt section only? Or does the entire SEC need to be protected?
 
I never use a sleeve, just RMC

I don't know about SEC

It looks like that clamp is pulling away from the wall. Perhaps the screw only penetrated the shake and didn't "bite" anything solid underneath.
