I had a customer request to install a new 2000A 480/277v service. They are wanting to run the secondary conduit overhead to the new gear.

From past experiences underground or concrete encased is the only way I’ve done this.

Is there an acceptable method to run secondary from the utility transformer to the gear overhead in conduit? This is about a 100’ run.

You can use conductors or cables on poles, cable tray (as suggested above), cable bus, or bus duct for this application. Noted that if you are using single conductors in free air, you might not be permitted to use the free air ampacity at the equipment terminations.
