I am installing a 225kva Trans. I am fusing the primary off of the rated primary current. The trans former is spec at 160 kva. They oversized it. Is it okay to size and protect my secondary conductors at they speced 160KVA? Thanks

sure...it would be no different from having multiple taps of the transformer, each properly protected. If your primary protection is 125% or less, then your secondary OCP is protecting the conductors.

My secondary conductors are over 25ft so I need to fuse them seperatly. The code says no more than 125% of rated value for primary protection. Do most people go the full 125%.It is rated at 270 amps I was going to fuse primary at 350amps.
