I'm a newbie, so please bear with me. I have a question about remarking grounding conductors, not the neutral. It seems like in the 2008 manual, which I no longer have a copy of, it clearly stated you could NOT remark grounding conductors 4 gauge or smaller. Meaning you could not remark any wire, Black, white ect as a green with tape as a ground. If I read section 250.119 correctly it says you can 6 ga and above. I've been in a "Discussion" with a local electritian about this and he says you can. There's a job I looked at the electritian on the job has remarked #12 Black conductors with Green tape as a ground. Is this legal to code? If someone knows in a previous 2008 NEC book where it says you CANNOT, please let me know.
