Section 300-22 Question

I have been asked to install a Class 3 CATV Control box (cable set top box) above a lay-in tile ceiling in a hospital. The CATV Control Box is a metal enclosure electrical device powered by a Class 2 power supply. After reviewing NEC 300-22 I believe the Control Box can be installed in the above ceiling environmental air space because it is a metal enclosure.

Am I correct ?

The power cord is the low voltage side form a 12vt power supply. DC output rated at 15v

A receptacle and Class 2 power supply are permitted above the ceiling a cord is not. No cord sounds OK to me. 300-22 what code cycle are you on?

Just playing the devils advocate, but what if the cable (cord) is plenum (cmp) rated?

According to 400.8(5) it wouldn't matter.
