This section gets too specific about using tray, strut, or channel in industrial installations. Will anyone agree rigid conduit with insulating bushings on both ends meets the criteria of protection for the TC-ER cable allowing the cable to extend six (6) feet beyond the conduit to connect equipment without the use of sealtight, greenfield, or any other raceway. This eliminates the use of fittings and drains. The fact the cable is installed in Class I, Division 2 areas is irrelevant.

Looking forward to your opinions.

i could see it if you used some type of strain relief such as a kellems grip or, (in arkansas) a ROMEX CONNECTOR... heh.. to comply with the part of 336.10 (7) that says it is to be secured at intervals not exceeding 6 feet
