Securing AC to metal studs

Was having a debate with a buddy yesterday. What is your guys preferred method of securing AC to metal studs vertically. I tend to go for the zip ties made for that reason. However, he was saying he just uses electrical tape on low budget jobs or one hole clamps for big jobs (which I will use too but they don't hold very well). Is one right or wrong and are we missing any other options

I suggest staying off the stud completely in order to avoid sheetrock screws gone amuck. There are several options such as the Colorado Jim. Check the caddy catalog they have numerous options that make your roughin smart looking for your inspector!
 
Cj's are great when you have more than one cable but the one hole straps work fine if you use the right screws. We use the little black peanut screws or the pan head 1/2" self tappers. If you follow the securing and supporting and keep your straps in the center of the stud there is enough play in the cable in the wall where the cable will move a tad instead of being pierced. We
