Securing of larger type MC cables

Based on section 330.30(B) - cables containing four or fewer conductors sized no larger than 10 AWG shall be secured within 12" of every box, cabinet, fitting or other cable termination. If the MC cables are larger than the size stated, how far from box must the cable be supported? I am assuming 6-ft but this seems like a long span in some cases.
