i am looking for a way to calculate conduit bends around large tanks. does anyone know of online calculator or formulas to use?

Ugly's book has a section on conentric bends,
which includes a single circular, segmented bend.

Ugly's description is not the only way.
You could make a simpler procedure, if you think about it.

Small pipe, (up to one inch GRC) can normally be bent on the support bolts holding up the silo, or Knock out drum, or whatever round thing your going around, and be fairly close. You may "lose" a stick on the warm-up getting used to the "new bending method", but you can save hundreds of dollars in labor, and sell a good looking product. Barring that, figure your radius, Scribe it on a piece of concrete with chalk (loading ramps are normally big enough to scribe whatever size you need) with the radius you need, bend the pipe to that pattern, install.

Rocky,

Both are Good ideas.
Both work well enough.

The straps pull/push for the final fit.
