Could you give us a little more information as to what the seismic electrical installation is in regards too? The building codes have specific requirements for seismic securing and supporting of lay in fixtures in suspended ceilings in high seismic areas. Chris

Sierrasparky Senior Member Location USA Occupation Electrician ,contractor Mar 12, 2010 #7 What portion of the Electrical installation is the spec reffering to? As others have stated : 1) Seismic support of Lay-in fixtures. Additional support wires and or screws 2) Seismic hold down and support for Switchgear Bolts into concrete or other structure rated for the use 3) Seismic support of High/ low bay fixtures or similar Luminairs Extra aircraft hang wire or similar 4) seismic support of Pipe racks or cable trays' usually every so many feet a Diagonal brace to rack or Tray to minimize lateral movement There are many variables depending on Locale. Should request RFI from Engineer.
