Selective Coodination for Emergency Lighting

Hello every..

As we all know a selective coordination is required for the emergency lighting system (for the egress). I have been specifying Bussmann Coordination Module panelboards, which use fuses to achieve selective coordination with upstream overcurrent devices. My question, is there any manufacture that has panelboards with 20A/1P's (277V) circuit breakers that can achieve the same selective coordination as the Bussmann module (fuses)?

Thanks in advance...

Most manufacturers do offer 'tested series' of selectively coordinated circuit breakers. I have seen selection tables from Siemens, Cutler-Hammer and Square D.

In some cases the they are limited in the amount of fault current they can handle and still be coordinated (i.e. up to 2kA) in other cases there are no restrictions (i.e. fully rated up to 65kA). Do not be surprised that the upstream protective device may need to be physically large even though it has a relatively low trip setting.

Data centers really like to have their circuits selectively coordinated, so these have been available for years. They often are referred to with names like Mission Critical.
