Self Testing/Self Diagnostic Inverter with Remote Test Switch

Wanted to get the forum's input on testing of inverters. For a micro inverter similar to the one attached or even the plenum rated grid mounted inverters are the remote test switches still required by code? Why use self testing as a sales tool if it still needs those self test buttons like the battery packs.

Has anyone else dug into this and came up with a good solution?
