My friend is a HVAC Contractor, and he swears by Mitsubishi. Said they are the best and most efficiant units out there. The rebates are incredable around here.

I have installed or worked on a number of these small split systems.

Read the directions before you rough.

Most of the time the feed goes from the panel outside to the condenser unit and then back inside to the fan unit. No direct cable from panel to fan unit.

Around here they pretty much have replaced the old window units. Each house I wire usually ends up with two or three compressors and average of around 4 fan coil units inside. I never have installed a complete unit myself, that would require an hvac license, but I have watched a few buddies who are hvac contractors get quite wealthy from pursuing that line of business.

Was selling them back in the 90's when they first hit the market. I can just hear some of the wisecrack comments from my HVAC buds about electricians messing with air conditioning....

We see a lot of these being installed in server rooms and what not.

I've heard a lot of good things about this brand. Very quiet and efficient from what I've seen.
