I find this forum most helpful when discussing advice for harnessing new customers. Every tip helps to germinate new ideas.
Recently I've made some changes to my website which have helped tremendously with search results in my area. I have separate pages now for popular electrical search terms. Not just "electrician" or "electrical contractor."
I have a page called "Ceiling fans | Paddle fans," for example.
So if people search for "(substitute your zip code or city name here) paddle fan," they get you.
Make a page called "Circuit Breaker Replacement."
A page called "Outdoor | Landscape Lighting."
"Recessed Lighting."
You get the idea (electricians are smart.)
Yeah, I'm the guy who doesn't like box offsets.
But I like this forum.

Yes you can optimize search results with changes to a website. Google has lots of information of how to do this for free. The last thing that I would do is pay a company who guarantees you top Google search results or first page hits. Many of them are just going to take your money.

Another tactic that has worked well to my advantage is to work for free. You heard it right. Volunteer to help needy people in your community. Tell the local churches you want to help. The elders of the churches need lights that need fixing, I guarantee you, and they will reward your altruism with dollars.
