A 100 amp MLO sub panel will be installed in a remote building to serve a woodworking shop. The question I pose is, Can the 100 amp plug-in breaker located at the main disconnect serve as the disconnect for the sub panel. The building is on the same property and under the same management

You still need to have documented safe switching procedures, and the installation needs to be monitored by quilified individuals to meet the exception to 225.32.

Its really easy to use a standard CB and back feed it. You need to have a retaining kit and the breaker must not have line-load marked on it. All the panel mfgs make breaker retaining kits. If its a bolt on breaker then a retaining kit is not required.
