Separate lighting and receptacle circs?

One would like to think that, but there are problems with them and a major part of the problem is the inconsistencies in their operation. It is a 100% fact that they nuisance trip and it is a 100% fact that manufactures knew about it.

Of course the fact that AFCI’s or AFCI/GFCI combo's cost 8 to 10 times what a standard singe pole 15 or 20 amp breaker does had absolutely no bearing on them being foisted on the residential electrical industry. :rant:
