This week or next, I will be putting the service panels on an exterior brick wall. This will be my first time running new service on a brick house. I normally just add a 2” cable clamp, on the back of the disconnect, where it enters a home with siding. What do you guys typically do to protect the SER cable when it goes through brick?

We would drill or chop the hole, insert the SE cable and then patch it with mortar mix.

I was thinking about pre stubbing out a piece of 2” pvc conduit so that I could push it through a seal in the OSB to be able to maintain the zip system seal. Mortar could then be placed around the pipe during the brick laying process. Would this be acceptable?

Often accepted but Code questionable due to lack of a clamp type connector at the cabinet.

As long as it's dry, nothing is needed.
It's outside.
Where it rains.
😁😁

I've done a 2" sleeve probably 50 or 60 times.
Quite some time back (90s)

Today I would use a Romex connector for the clamp. Then from inside the disconnect, spray foam through the clamp behind the disconnect to fill the hole
