Electrical safety start circuit switches should be connected in..........

My first thought was SERIES but re-thinking this makes me wonder just how safe a re-start of the circuit would be?

and yes, I new to the electrical field - studying for quiz - THANKS!

What are you calling a "safety start"? That sounds like you might be talking about a two-hand controller, maybe? If so, they're not really series or parallel. They're both a seperate input to the two-hand controller.

I agree that is an odd way of putting it.

If it was a two hand safety switch set up it could be series ...... or parallel if connected to a dual channel safety relay.

If it helps any, the questions of this particular quiz are in relation to building equipment - boiler, chiller, air handler, pump, etc

I guess that would be ordinary 3-wire stop/start stations, then.

Two hand controllers are generally only used on industrial machinery where you could get your hands chopped off or smashed if they weren't both in an assured safe place when the machine starts.
