Hi,
I have a switchgear cabinet with three sections. The middle has the main breaker. The one to the right has the distribution. Out of the load side of the main breaker we go to an ATS. Back out of the ATS to feed the distribution bussing. There is a main bonding jumper in the main breaker section.
Another electrician was wanting to run a jumper from the neutral bar in the main breaker section to the distribution section. I told him that I do not think that should be since we are running through the generator ATS. And that we need to keep the grounds separate from the neutrals in the distribution section.
Am I correct here even though they are in the "same" enclosure? Does it matter they are in the same enclosure? Code references?
Thanks for your help!
