I am bidding this motel complex with 60 units. They are installing 60 ptac units with heat and they are 240 volt 18 amps each. I can not find demand factors for this type of install so I guess I have to use 100% right? The cooling amps is 4.2 and the heat is 3500 watts. My other question is can I use 100% of the largest load only to figure my service size? If I have to use the nameplate which is 18 amps x 60 units would be like 1080A so I would need 1200 amps of service?
