I have been asked by the plant engineer to verify that they have enough capacity on there main switch gear to add some more load for some new equipment.
first of all I have issues with there electrical drawings.I have attached a copy of "one" of there panel schedules and would like to know if I am calculating this properly.
they have a total KVA of 35.56 on 480/277volt panel.to come up with how much load this panel would put on the main switchgear I multiplied 35.56*1000 /480/1.73= 42.82amps.
This panel would consume 42.82 amps from my main 1600 amp circuit breaker.
IS THIS CORRECT?
