Hi,

We installed a 2,000A service in (5) 4" RGS underground conduits in N.Y.C.. We used one common conductor to each MIGB and then went to the ground bar in the switchgear, it was not picked up in the ConEd inspection and the service is energized. It would be a significant hardship to the building to shutdown so we can run individual bonds from the MIGB's to the ground bar.

What I would like to do is attach a Harger CPC3.5/4 Harger pipe ground clamp (the service conduits are accessible in the cellar) to each RGS and then run my bonding jumpers to a ground collector bar and then run a 4/0 from this new collector bar to my main ground collector bar.

We have not yet had our electrical inspection so I'd like to fix it now. Does anyone see any violations regarding this proposed installation?

You need a #1/0 from each raceway or a 400 kcmil for all 5 raceways. I see no reason why you cannot use an external bonding clamp but why can't you use the existing MIGB's?

The gear is live and the 600’s terminate approximately 24” above the incoming service, it is bottom fed. We ran eight conduits, three spares. There is no safe access to get to the back set of service conduits. The gear is up against the wall. Thanks for the replies

Can the raceways be bonded on the other end?
