For those familiar with Con Edison in NYC... I attached one of their details that I have a question on, from their Blue Book. It shows the service end box (aka the service point) on the inside of the building, with a 'service conduit' that the customer is responsible for, which has to extend to the outside of the building by at least 12 inches (see detail on top).

My questions are:
1. what if Con Edison comes in with 2 or more sets? Do you still only install one service conduit? It doesn't say anything other than 1 service conduit.
2. what is the size of this service conduit that's needed? It doesn't say this either.

Thanks.

If it is multiple sets, you owe multiple conduits. Off the top of my head I would assume 4 inch conduit. I believe con Ed typically uses 500mcm for every 400 amps.
