Service Electrical Cover Plate Dilema

Location
WV
Occupation
Residential Service Electrician
As a residential service electrician I try my hardest to have any and all material on my van for any situation. What is your guys philosophy on not buying too many different one off devices but having enough cover plates and devices for most situations. I personally keep light almond , ivory , and white devices, single gang covers, and then a mix variety of 2 to 4-gang covers for each color. Unfortunately being in WV there’s so many times being out late in the Middle of nowhere and all I need is a combo light ivory switch with a duplex toggle switch 2-gang cover or whatever random scenario and it’s really bugging me.

If you are offering to be a mobile convenience and Hardware store for your clients I hope you are charging them appropriately.
The Road Rash losses alone would require at least a 100% markup.
Start with a Box Van and outfit it with large drawer tool boxes then label the exterior of the drawers and organize them for the basic devices and colors, with the colored devises and cover plates together. Secure the stacks real well and train your techs to take corners real slow!
