If I’m doing a service with meter and panel back to back or very close I’ve always replaced the SE cable because it was easy.
But do you do it when the cable is 25-50’ long. What is the life span of SE cable in a dry location not subject to physical damage, sunlight etc. I’m replacing a 400 amp service with meter socket , 2 exterior disconnects and 2 panels in the garage. Panels are 25-50’ away. Cables show no signs of damage in the crawlspace or at their terminations.
