I am working on a Cutler hammer MCC that has top feed main lugs, and requires a hand tied cable support using rope ,tied along the feeders. I have seen the knot once, but have never actually done the knot myself. I have tried to find out how to do it, but can't find anything. Any help would be appreciated

Thanks!!

I usually tie this, or a double or triple depends on the situation

That's just a knot I use alot. The triple bowline can pick up anything, but it takes alot of room. I can't picture how much room there is above lugs. I would probably do Kellums grip in this situation.
I don't think we are really trying to pick something up or provide vertical support here. We are trying to provide short circuit bracing so that under high fault current conditions the conductors will stay in the lugs.
Most of the time, where roping is required, the instructions will show you how to do it.
